Chronicles of Darkness: Out with the Old, In with the New

Trenloe’s suggestion on the FG Forums definitely has turned into a solid one. CoD is now a fully layered Ruleset, extended off the CoreRPG Ruleset.

What does this mean for you? This means that any updates to the CoreRPG Ruleset that do not conflict with elements that have been replaced in the CoD Ruleset will be available to you when you update FG. This is a huge advancement as it allows me, as the Ruleset developer, to focus on the actual features specific to CoD. Which improves the rate of release for new features.

Everyone wins!

The primary features i will be working on with this initial release will be to replicate the base character sheets, the NPC sheets and the ability to toggle a character sheet to a different system from a single radial. Once that functionality is complete, I will release the 1.0.0 version of the Ruleset. To me, this is the most basic requirement for the Ruleset to be used and considering that the existing one is broken, I want to get a replacement out there and available ASAP.

With 1.1.0 I will be focusing on adding in the ability to click on skills/powers/abilities to add them to the die pool. Then you will be able to drag your roll form the die pool. That will be the primary focus on that release. I do ask, if you have any specific features you would like to see added, definitely give us feedback on it.

Also, Luthbel from the FG Forums has generously signed on to work with graphics on the CoD Ruleset and what has been put together so far is fantastic. I’m hoping to post some screenshots soon. So keep your eyes open!
